This years tree planting was EPIC!

This years tree planting was EPIC!

This year we were so fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome three groups onto our farm. We were joined by Wanderers of colour, Putney Community Gardens and it was all made possible by St Ethelburga's centre for reconciliation in London. It was a jam packed weekend, trees were planted, veggies were picked and cooked, games were played, stories were told and we did a little bath salts making workshop - it was loads of fun!

Earths farm is a place where you can be yourself, we are actively and thoughtfully creating programmes that welcome people in with big smiles, huge hugs and a listening ear. This cohort of volunteers reignited our love for human beings, to see people of all hues, identities, cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs spend a weekend together talking, laughing, hugging and helping each other in a place that they could truly be themselves was so much food for the soul. The level of kindness and care that was shared freely did that thing where it solidified our belief and our purpose here on our farm. We know that people come here they leave here lighter, they leave here full and they go back into the world with much more life, with much more faith in humanity. We get so much from everyone who visits, we learn so much and even though we're essentially planting trees to bring so much more biodiversity to our farm - were also nurturing souls, ours and yours along a journey that helps us all to show up in the world as our true selves. Connecting to nature need not be some exhaustive thing, it does not have to be entirely fluffy either. This is a tangible thing that reminds us all of the power that we have to shape the type of world that we want to exist in and leave behind.

Thank you to Jeng, Rowan, Natasha and Nadine for making this all possible, there's so much more to ponder on and share about this weekend this is the first look, we'll definitely add more reflections as time goes on.

Much love

Dan & Tee
